While in England, Julie took part in theatrical productions in a number of capacities: actor, stage manager, and director, with a number of amateur and professional theatre companies. Back in Canada, she was involved in New Brunswick’s Shakespeare Festival by the Marsh and productions by the ABU Players. Now she works on the administrative end of theatre, finding money for PT and coming up with lively adjectives for media releases. When Julie finds herself strangely longing for 17th Century literature she meanders over to Kwantlen Polytechnic University where she teaches part-time in the English Department.

Having graduated with a doctorate in 17th Century drama, Julie decided to return to the 21st Century in the capacity of Director of Public Relations at Pacific Theatre. Before leaving for England to join the world of “bright young things” (read “spoiled pursuers of pleasure”) at Durham and Oxford, Julie half lived at Pacific Theatre, serving as volunteer usher, box office salesperson, and crackers-&-cheese-on-trays arranger for post-premiere parties.
