An Invitation from Ron Reed25 years. Close to half my life spent telling stories, building a place where other artists tell stories...Artists like Angela Konrad, who directed sketches for our church touring group in 1984, who won the Jessie directing GRACE in 2007. She’ll helm our season opener, MOURNING DOVE. Or Allen Desnoyers, Elaine Myers and Byron Linsey, who founded PT. With Roy Salmond, they’ll join me onstage three nights this December in the show that launched our company, FIRST CHRISTMAS: AN ENTERTAINMENT. Or Morris Ertman, my artistic partner since directing the first new play our company ever created, FISH TALES. He’ll join the celebration by bringing a fresh sparkle to one of PT’s all-time audience favourites, HOLY MO – last seen on our stage nearly a decade ago. From the pen of Lucia Frangione, whose ESPRESSO and CHICKENS and CARIBOO MAGI have made her Pacific Theatre’s most celebrated playwright. Back in 1990, Lucia was the first in a long line of apprentices whose experiences on our stage have established callings and careers. We close each season with an Emerging Artist production to showcase our apprentices. Last year, YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU, this year, our home-grown sequel, YOU STILL CAN’T. A quarter century of artistic friendships, of stories that become part of our lives– life-filled, life-affirming, sometimes life-changing. Come join us as we celebrate! Ron Reed,
