Nowheresville, BC

About

It’s the annual cornhole tournament in Nowheresville, BC. Mia has enough on her plate with the recent death of her brother (whose ashes she carts around in a shoebox). When she is forced by the Mayor to lead the brainstorming for the town’s new roadside attraction, she struggles. Being back in her hometown with these eccentric people – and ducks – is grueling. Will she finally be pushed over the edge and leave for good, or will she end up stuck in the middle of nowhere, forever?

I just saw the opening night of Nowheresville and absolutely loved it. It was heartwarming and so funny my stomach hurt. I was impressed with how well the play captured the dynamics of interpersonal relationships and the complicated feelings so many of us have about our hometowns. I would go see Nowheresville again in a heartbeat!
