pt news | linnea perry is our company manager!

Pacific Theatre is happy to announce that Linnea Perry, our Box Office Manager, is stepping into a new position at the theatre as our Company Manager! It’s a new position at PT with more hours and creative input – Linnea will continue to oversee our box office and patron services, while also working with our Executive Director Jennifer Milley and AD Kaitlin Williams in producing shows, shaping our apprenticeship program, and other community engagement work.

If you’ve visited the theatre in the past three years, you probably already know Linnea – she joined us as an Administrative and Stage Management apprentice in our 2018-2019 season, and was the ASM for Kim’s Convenience and the stage manager for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. In addition to working in the box office, she directed a devised production of Agamemnon at the end of her apprentice year, and has been working with us as our Box Office Manager since finishing her apprenticeship. Here’s what Kaitlin, Jenn, and Linnea had to say about the new gig!

We are thrilled to see Linnea step into this position of greater leadership at Pacific Theatre. She is an invaluable member of our team and anyone who has experienced her exceptional customer service knows what a positive and bright force she is. Pacific is lucky to have an artist like Linnea on staff, and we’re eager to see her grow into this role in the years to come.

– Kaitlin and Jenn

I want to thank Jen and Kaitlin for their never-ending support this year. All the growth you see at PT this year in the face of COVID is because of their leadership and perseverance. I have felt so lucky to be a part of this ride, as crazy as it has been, and stepping up my role as an artistic leader in this community so that I can also be a part of growth. There so much I’m excited to do, so much I want to bring, and most of all so much growing I’m ready to do, both as an artistic worker and as a part of this company.
It is not lost on me that as a Queer woman of colour I owe it to myself and my community to be loud and visible in this role. Diversity in leadership at all levels of theatre is such an important step in achieving the sort of equity Pacific theatre upholds, and I’m so excited to be a part of that.

I want to thank all my friends and artists who have helped guide me along the way. I can’t wait to be reaching out to the community to get to know you better and have you get to know me better. Art shall be made again soon, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.

– Linnea
