Come for the art, not the lobby

We love our building and basement theatre space – but it is also, how shall we say? Quirky. To plan your visit to our one-of-a-kind theatre, please read below. If you have any further questions about accessibility or if you have mobility needs, please contact our box office at 604-731-5518, or send us an email at tickets@pacifictheatre.org. We look forward to welcoming you!

Year after year PT brings gripping, compassionate, enlightening and soulful theatre to Vancouver audiences. It’s an artistic gem that shines brightly on the local scene.

Chalmers Presbyterian Church

Address

We are located at 1440 West 12th Ave, on the corner of 12th and Hemlock in the heart of Vancouver’s South Granville Neighbourhood. Our intimate theatre space is located in the basement of the Chalmer’s Heritage Building – look for the big dome, you can’t miss it!

Parking

Getting Here

We are located within walking distance from the #7, 33, 99 and 9 bus routes. If you are biking, we are very close to the 10th Ave bike route, and there are bike racks located directly in front of our building’s entrance.

If you’re driving you’ll find plenty of street parking along 12th Avenue, free after 7pm. There is also a small parking garage for those with accessibility needs, you can enter that off of the south side of 12th avenue, between Granville and Hemlock streets. If you are attending a matinee, be sure to give yourself extra time to find parking.

Pacific Theatre

Entrance

There are a number of double doors to get into the Chalmers Heritage Building, the one you want to use to access the Pacific Theatre lobby are the white doors labelled Pacific Theatre on 12th ave. Look for the sidewalk sandwich boards helpfully directing you.

Pacific Theatre

Tickets & Concession

Remember to have your tickets ready on your phone when you want to enter the theatre – and don’t forget to stop at our concession before the show – you are more than welcome to take drinks and snacks into the theatre.

Pacific Theatre
Seating

Seating

Our actual theatre space is unlike any other in the city. We boast a unique 128-seat alley style theatre, meaning the stage is actually in the middle of the room, with audience members seated on each side.

We refer to the two sides of the theatre as the North side and the South side, aligned wih their directional orientation. If you are seated on the South side, you’ll get to cross the stage to get to your seat, and have a chance to see the set up close – like really close!
