The Pacific Theatre Apprenticeship
2021/22 season
Pacific Theatre is pleased to announce the relaunch of our apprenticeship program for 2021/22. The apprenticeship is a cornerstone of what we do as a company; though it was difficult to pause this last season, it afforded us the opportunity to reflect upon and reimagine the program. With anticipation and excitement for the future, we are now officially accepting applications for two apprentices for our 2021/22 season!
ABOUT PACIFIC THEATRE
Pacific Theatre aspires to delight, provoke and stimulate dialogue by producing theatre that rigorously explores the spiritual aspects of human experience. In over 35 seasons, Pacific Theatre has produced more than 150 professional mainstage productions, ranging from established works to original world premieres. In addition to our full season of plays, we are committed to the nurturing of emerging artists and the PT Apprenticeship program is vital to what we do. We are a tiny company with a huge heart; and, we share a commitment to artistic rigour, a sense of play, and teamwork. We create art on the unceded and shared territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Skxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP
Pacific Theatre offers a paid apprenticeship program for artists and administrators who are young in craft and looking to expand their skills, while being mentored by other professional theatre artists and staff. The apprentice will split their time with the company between administrative tasks and their own self-directed disciplinary focus.
